The Association of Consumer Affairs Professionals (ACAP) is a non-profit corporation composed of supervisors and managers from consumer-related departments of corporations and other organizations, such as consumer consultation groups. Since our founding in 1980, we have conducted research, studies, and consumer education activities in order to build a framework of mutual trust between consumers, governments, and businesses.
ACAP is a member of SOCAP International (since 2008).

Message from the Chief Director
Dear Sir or Madam:
Thank you very much for your visiting our website and it is our great pleasure to introduce Association of Consumer Affairs Professionals (as for ACAP) to all of you who concern consumer affairs and customer services.
ACAP is the non-profit organization and has approximately 900 members (variety of 600 companies). Those who join ACAP are the management representatives or the person in charge of the consumer-related sections. Our mission ‘creating the fair, safe and reliable consumer society’ is an eternal subject for all of us and we strongly believe our continuous work would be a help to find a solution to the problems.
After many changes of consumer laws and administrative system in Japan, consumer behavior and situation surrounding companies have changed a lot, too. We’re sure that we are the one who can carry out our mission as previously mentioned. Also we should remember that the international point of view is indispensable to our activities as a member of SOCAP International.
